GISTM Audit
We conduct thorough audits of compliance with the Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management (GISTM). Our team evaluates documentation, operational processes and governance mechanisms related to dam management. We issue a detailed report indicating the degree of adherence to each of the 77 GISTM requirements, evidence collected and recommendations to address any gaps before the official audit or for continuous improvement
TSM Audit
We offer independent performance assessment in Towards Sustainable Mining. We validate self-assessments on each TSM protocol – from tailings safety to community relations, as applicable – and assist in preparing for external checks. Our team identifies necessary evidence, verifies scores (from Level C to AAA) and recommends improvements to achieve higher levels in SST indicators.
Copper Mark Certification Audit
For copper mines and plants seeking Copper Mark, we conduct a rigorous pre-assessment: we verify compliance with the framework's criteria (governance, environment, labor, community, etc.), indicate where the operation already meets standards, and where improvements are needed. We also support you through the formal assurance process, acting as consultants who understand both Copper Mark's requirements and operational realities.
Other Audits and Inspections
In addition to global standards, we perform customized audits on ESG and operational issues according to the client's needs – for example, audits of water management, environmental compliance, dam safety according to Brazilian standards (ANA, ANM) and compliance assessments with corporate internal policies.
Methodology
Our audits follow a rigorous process of planning, field execution, evidence analysis and reporting. We deliver a transparent report, with findings categorized by criticality, illustrative photos/figures, and a recommended action plan. When desired, we use proprietary digital tools to organize evidence and track the implementation of recommendations.
